The whole day through up until then I was pretty comfortable.
Man it pissed down all the way home and I was pleasantly surprised how half worn basic Michelin pilot roads went.
I'll still be trying either a road 2 or power on the rear next combined with a 2CT power on the front....I can't wait!
I may even look at the Chillout gloves as well, because I only wear summer gloves. It'll be a cold day in hell before I get namby pamby heated grips on my Triumph ( to Al).
I think you'll like the Power 2CT. Mine's a recall, but then I'm not planning on doing the 250kph where it's supposed to fail.

You know not what you are missing out on mate, absolutely nothin' wrong with being comfortable on your bike, hell i've even been contemplating hand guards to complement the heated grips too!

    I think so too.

My seat's a big improvement over stock. It's nice to not find your arse in the pillion area when you twist the throttle. I just have to find a new home for the puncture repair kit.

Dropped two of my kids off to Dogsnbikes on the bluebridge this morning to head down south on holiday with thier big brother on the farm only to find the ferries wernt sailing
Had some bacon and eggs on the boat with dogs and left the kids with him, poor bugger his ears will be worn out now they arnt sailing until 9.00 tonight That man deservesd a DB
Had a tosser in his bright yellow hummer with a Harley Davidson sticker on his spare wheel cover playing in traffic, slowing down then speeding up and then take off when we threatened to pass him on the motor way. He took off after a falcon passed him and who did we see pulled over around Mackays crossing.........Yep it was just bueatiful

    Yup, it was cold

Nasty and I passed through the M'tu at 1400 today on the way to Napier for Zukins funeral. And yup, it WAS cold. But ... despite all the dire warnings and preparations for the worst, it was a stunning ride. A wet mist tired to unsuccessfully wet the visors at about Shannon and again at Danniverke and other than that, completely dry.

One of those crisp clear cold magic days that just buzz you being on a bike. We partook lunch at the Clydesdale Cafe (as you do) and stopped for a hot drink at Danniverke BP and bumped into BusaJim and MagicFairy, also on their way to Zukin's funeral. Did you all know that adventure bikes are allowed to do 70 through 30kmh roadworks? It's true, this BMW GS1100 did it past us - lucky sods

A sad occasion but kind of cool how the camaderie of bikers can shine through any gloom. See you tomorrow.

I was working all day today - so naturally during the middle of the day when the sun was out there were heaps of bikes cruising around enjoying the better weather. While I wasn't.

Chillout gear is awesome, I have both top and pants. I really feel the cold and they are wonderful. You should invest.

I'll have to pay Dave & Paul a visit at PT's once insurance has made a decision on my jacket. May as well kill two birds with one stone.
