you're pooer has an infection? what you been putting up there?

this is my sum knowledge and offer of wisdom:
start - programs - system tools - system restore. Restore to a time prior to picking up the nasties.

if it works then do a full virus check and spyware check. if you dont have spyware thingy download windows defender i think its free from microsoft.

or wait till someone who knows what they're talking about to post an answer.

Can you name the program or whatever?

I'd suggest running antispyware scans in Safe Mode. But first tell us what you have apart from Avast please.

dont worry about it, its going to be sorted!

another KBer has said he will sort it for me and set it up right.

as i said in my 1st post, i know fuck all about pooters, so asking me what programs i have is a bit of a silly question lol

    thanks anyway peeps

The fix is entirely dependant on what sort of bug it is. It can range from as simple as clicking "Disinfect" or as complicated as formatting (removing everything and putting it back on).

Unfortunately, sometimes the only option is to format. What virus does it say you have? I.e. the name of it?
