Monday day ride to hotpools (20 August)

Well, I dont have work monday or tuesday, but have gas to burn, and an urge to burn it.

Plus i have an urge to sit in a hot pool for a while... so.

Planning to head from auckland, north via the usual back roads, meeting westgate petrol station 10.30 for a 11am departure - upto kaikohe, sit in a few hot pools for a couple o hours, then return.

according to wises its about 240km each way, thats got a bit too much SH1 in it for my liking, so will probably be more towards the 300km mark.

Would really like some people who know the roads a bit better than me to come along. Pace will depend on who is there, but normally i go along at a moderate clip.

only thing worse than the idea of getting up for work tomorrow is knowing somebody else is going for a ride.
