    yes it has been raced lately.yes to radiator. yes to chain.
    radiator off due to relocating to cure handling problem(radiator was on headstock .i.e could not turn.

    Ideally you would reverse it & have the rad as high as possible for thermosyphon effect to work well (Bottom of rad to feed into lower front).

    Best option is reasonably thin water passages, but you mustn't make the head itself too thin. It has to have a reasonable thermal mass to prevent from warping. Knocking the fins off the original & machining down will be ok, but careful with welding & don't weld into the chamber as it will very often go porous.
