    Motorcycle riding or golf?

I just got back this evening from a very good day out on a bus ride to Palmerston North and an annual golf tournament.

Having not played golf since last March, tonight I am shattered absolutely buggered.

I was walking up the fairway, and said to myself, three and a half hours of this - man I'd rather be riding!

Neverthe less I will continue to walk the fairways and ride my new bike.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

Nothing wrong with both Guy, in fact how bout a KB Golf day? Must be more than just the two of us who enjoy hitting that little white ball around.

I'd put my name in there as well, quite like the odd game of golf, but I'm obviously not in your part of the country. *Sigh*

Absolutely stuffed guy? Sounds like something's getting neglected! It's only a long walk with a few swings thrown in there
Soapbox house of cards and glass, so don't go tossing your stones around.

Well your first hole could be a very very long par 5.

Actually I spent quite sometime the last fortnight attending the swim centre each day to try and get my fitness level up a bit. Generally happy with my game, one bad slice off the tee but generally down the middle. Started to tire at 15th. We were lucky and got in just as a few drops started to fall walking down the 18th.

Bull and I were talking this morning about finding a volunteer perhaps with a ute and hire trailer, and we could pitch in for petrol and hire fees etc to transport our clubs, and we could make a ride out of it.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

I think that you should just stick to golf. It's much safer.....

I'm sure it's possible to incorporate the two endeavours. A variant of motorcycle polo but with golf clubs instead of mallets. Extra strokes incurred for touching the ground with a foot.

Now that is an excellent idea. There are some nice courses over in the Rappa.

I would be keen, except I only go to the driving range where you dont have to be skilled in the direction the ball goes. Could always go for a ride to the Solway Driving Range? They have a great cafe... maybe, just an idea.

As a greenkeeper I beg to differ. Much much safer out on the road with some of the golfers round these parts.............

Where did you play? I wasnt aware of any comps/groups on brightwater today although I did get a couple of voicemails on my phone this morning that I 'forgot' to answer cause its Sunday and I wanted to go riding. I could be in for a bit of a KB golf tournment.

I like Michael Schumachers reply, when asked if he wanted to join some other drivers in a round of golf....."No thanks, I haven't given up sex yet!"
