Hi all,
I thought I'd drop a quick line regarding the Ride Right Ride Safe Meet that I attended last Sunday. First up a big thanks to Chickadeefor taking the time to show me where the airbase was, it was my first time on the motorway and it wasn't too hairy.
The day itself was nice and sunny and there were eight people that came along for the meet. It was a mix of informal Q and A's and theory "in class" and the three lads, Deryck, Stephen and Finn were superb in their instructions when out on the field.
I enjoyed learning how to countersteer and brake in an emergency, and it gave me feedback on what points I should practice more on (figure of eights ggrrrr!).
As well as your tea and coffee, you are provided with the 2007 NZ motorcycle code book (not the A4 one but the small one) which retails at $25, so if anyone is thinking of doing the RRRS course in the future then don't buy the code book as it will be provided for you when you submit your $50 fee. This happened to a woman that came along for the course and had just bought the code book a week previous...
Anyway, I had a great day and learnt a lot and would like to recommend this course to learners like my self in order to accquire some important road skills.
Cheers to the RRRS lads!
