    Speedo not working

    Hi everyone,

The speedo stopped working randomly the other day. The cable itself isn't snapped, and I have disconnected it from the wheel end and spun it with a drill and it works.

So whats the most probable reason why it isn't working? Could it just be the drive which is attached to the wheel that needs replacing? Or could the cable just not be connecting properly with the drive and need replacing?

    Cheers

    Stefan

If the speedo works and the cable is complete and drives the speedo no problems then the only place that can be at fault,The dogs locating "teeth may be worn down or possibly just slightly bent --well worth a llook

    Hi

Yeh check the gear (worm drive) in the speedo housing on the axle.
A lot of bikes wear them out - some models use plastic etc.
Common problem compared to a speedo instrument fault.

    Cheers
