Great you all had a good time.

We did our ride from five forks to lindis yesterday, what a mission staying on the bike in that wind. The lakes were great for surfers! Seen plenty off bikes in Omarama but no KBer's that we knew to tell us any good stories. Maybe we can make it next year.
I was in Omarama for about an hour and half around 5.
There were plenty of bikes there though.

We didn't get away until 12.30 or so and were immediately battling the Nor-Wester.
Then just short of Waimate it turned into an Easterly and blew us up the Waitaki Valley for half an hour or so then reverted back again!

Ran into a couple of mates on their way back from Invers so stopped at Otematata and Omarama with them before carrying on home.
Otematata was really blowing - I hope you've still got a roof John!

There were loads of bikes coming the other way presumably taking the long way 'round back from the Burt Munro and it looked like Omarama pub was going to go off but, knowing that the NZ economy can't do without my essential input I thought that I'd better get home for work the following day.

I got to the rally a bit late on Saturday night and probably tried too hard to catch up with everyone else so it wasn't too long before I was beyond sensible conversation. I'm sorry about that cos it's always good to catch up with the KB Krew and share our collective wisdom amongst each other.
I might just stay off the booze altogether at Parnassus [insert clever quip here].

If you saw a 888 and Mike Hailwood Ducatis sitting with an MV Agusta then that was us.
