Yep, this will be a hard core ride, and it will be dictated by the slower riders to an extent. It's important for everyone to be aware of the rigours of the day and not to go beyond their limits. I'd say that everyone who is leaving from Ashhurst will be up to it and if it comes to the crunch, we'll just have to accept that and ammend the legs to compensate. Easy really if we're all on the same page.

What about designated stops ie fuel stations approx 200kms apart where we wait for the last rider and leave ten or fifteen mins after he or she arrives thus giving all a break
Even on the week end the slow riders were only five to ten mins behind
Another option could be a short cut across the loops for anyone feeling a little fatiuged, again with a designated fuel stop to reassemble
Everyone needs to have a map and a list of reassemble points
Everyone should have Dogs mobile no to inform him of any problems or delays so a decision at the fuelstop can be made to continue or wait, Comunication will be vital
    Thoughts ?
    sounds good.

I agree. Gas stations would be the easiest and most logical places to stop. If they're 200 kms apart Chanceyy should perhaps take along a small supply of fuel just in case.

once we have numbers I will compile a list of cellie numbers for everyone attending & organising a list for the group so everyone has it ..

also this is supose to be a cruisy kinda ride so should not be massive wait times between the first rider & last, unless the group out front is gonna ride at warp speed ..

Could be safer unless you take fuel. Is that a prob? I guess Dogs or Cowboyz will be looking into the fuel stops?

Just remember that we will be carrying extra weight on the bikes so all fuel comsumption will be lower than normal I reccomend that people do a dummy run with what they intend to take on the trip and see what your safe milage is

Sounds good. I reckon we should take a spare can before the ride, run Betsy dry and see what her range is.
