What tires are you using on the 600 Greg? I was #15 in F2, with GIRI written across the back of my leathers.

Sounds good to me my lap times are around 1.12's so instead of my 250 I could chop it in and get a Duc 900 ss tune it a bit say 80hp (is not to hard) and off we go.Hey,so what about people on slower lap times should they get GSXR 600's. nah thats silly,. I think they should stick to 900's.Just my opinion but 900's should not be in F3.(others may disagree but I think it's just a little bit unfair about 650cc's unfair in my case)Oooh the sour grapes of it all!.
Hi Giri, yep I saw you going past a couple of timesOriginally Posted by Motoracer
I'm running Metzler Rennsports, RS-1 compound on the front and RS-2 on the rear.
Hey Greg, next time I'll come and introduce my self. Giri is my surname and my name is Sudeep. Good choice of tires by the way, I have the exact same combo. You can still go to Pukie if you can make it for the track day on the 23 October '04 to better your personal best of 68 clicks. After they do the track, I am sure personal bests for everyone will be changing as well.
Good luck with getting yourself and the bike sorted. I have a hell of a lot of work to do as well, mainly on myself.
gpercivl i saw your bike it looked pretty good, ya seamed to be going around bloody great
Thanks Sudeep, sorry as soon as I posted the reply I realised that Giri is your family name. I'm feeling a bit more positive today and the 23rd would be a great opportunity to try a few different things out at the track, but I'll be away for work all that week which is a bummer.Originally Posted by Motoracer
I really like the Rennsports, I use to run slicks but they harden up too quickly so I was finding that I wasn't wearing them out before they went off. Whereas the Rennsports just keep on gripping. I'm too chicken to risk sliding the rear end right now, but hopefully I'll get back into it
Thanks Cajun !!!![]()

Being frustrated is disagreeable.
But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.
I second that..... There is a nice photo of Nicko popping a wheelie, and MR at the hairpin which looks mint.... (you can see how much riding skill he has by looking at those photo's..... simply awesome....)Originally Posted by Lynda Blair

good to see you on here
Thanks Logan, yep leg is good, able to run lightly. But left shoulder is main trouble now, seems the docs are good at bones but not so good at torn tendons etc. One shoulder is still causing grief but coming along. had a couple of road rides lately including Wgtn->Akld 2 months ago (To pick up trashed Ford Transit for next years race transporter) and did Wgtn-Waiarapa-Shannon-Wgtn last weekend 2-up ok. A bit sore after but needed to start on getting 'bike fit' again. was going to do F3 2004 Nationals (Hence van) but shoulder not reliable or strong enough so beter not.. had the leave boked and everthing etc but now cancelled.
Will probably do Nth Islands Rds though. Was pissed missing 04 Nth Island Cup & Vic Club but thats bkes for you eh.
Seems like you've come along. Just checked out your RVF progress posts. Looking good, Looks like your bike started out like my pile of... We should share secrets.

Hi Lindsay...I didn't realise you had been that badly damaged.Originally Posted by flipper
Hee hee, I've got a secret plan to come back and conquer F3 next year...450 kit coming for my 3TJ FZR400...but up until it's ready get as much practice/experience as I can on the 600 motor in the 3TJ chassis, then do the motor switch.
As I'm only just into the 8's on the 600, the 450 isn't going to catapult me into stardom, but it's got to be better than the old '87 400 motor I competed on last year
I can't afford to do the South Island Nat's rounds this year but hope to be there for BOS & NI rounds (with my #8 number plate)
So KK watch out baby !!!!
cheers, Greg
