Hey Spankme, how did you get all that posted before mine?

When I read it there were no replies and I hate those pdf things.

Pokeno is about 8km past the Bombay hills.

I remember as a kid it was a compulsory place to stop for an ice cream before the motorway was built to bypass it.

    Hmm, so many choices...
Leisurely scenic Ulysses ride to Macadamia Nut Farm... delicious lunch at the cafe, chance to buy some of those fantastic chocolate macadamia nuts at factory prices...
or boring Elephant Run through dreary Waikato Roads with an infinitesimally small chance of winning some gear that you've already got.
Well, guys, it's obvious, isn't it? Take my advice, and do something else on Sunday.
On the other hand, perhaps one person at least should represent KB, just to show the flag. At considerable personal sacrifice, I volunteer to be that person (no need to provide monetary expressions of gratitude this time). While you're all enjoying yourselves in the sunny north, or having a well-deserved lie-in, I'll be out there braving the Waikato fogs and freezing temperatures. Sometimes in life duty is more important than pleasure.

All this self sacrifice wouldn't be an attempt to improve your odds
of winning something, would it MikeL?

Bugger! How can I fit everything in? (as the actress said to the bishop) Manfeild on Saturday, drive back to Hamilton by 9pm to watch the rugby, drive on to Auckland. Unload bike and gear by 2:00 am Sunday....AND then get up early!.....ooops and I've got a judo commitment at 11:00...BUGGER!!

Still it will improve MikeLs chances

    KBs in elephant run

How many KBers are going to turn up?

Are they going to wear the t shirts or ride in an identifyable group?

Is anyone unofficially organizing our presence?

    Would be nice.....

Bugger. All set to win myself a new pair of boots at the very least and now I've come down with the bloody flu. Spent half the day in bed.
Unless there's a miraculous recovery overnight the field is wide open, guys. Good luck!

Hmm... Bikerboy, the flu's a virus, right, and you've had it for a while, and I've downloaded heaps of your posts...
