This new driver assistance system uses three cameras, one to look at road signs ahead and two to check what the driver is looking at. Same thing if you're about to pass a stop sign without reducing speed. You still can choose to ignore the warnings, but if you're caught speeding, you'll have to tell the officer why you refused to slow down. Bike magazine has an article on how the rush to achieve 5 star NCAP crash ratings has resulted in worsening visibility for drivers due to the design of A pillars to meet these tests. The last research on driver sight lines was last done in 1963 and even then it found that poor pillar design can obscure a bike on roundabout approaches right up till impact.
So, the buggers really don't see us.
A bit bloody scary really.
