    Well said that man

If your going out to cause trouble to that extent you don't care about anyone else's rights so as far as I'm concerned you've nul and voided yours. Your lucky it's only a Tazor

So "there were 7 officers there yet the Tazer was used"

My thoughts: Yeah so 8 people were saved from serious injury.

MY thoughts: Shoot more losers - then the bleeding-heart greenie soft-cock losers would start to think the tazer was not so bad after all.

I wonder how many front-line cops think the Tazer is not a good thing???

A loaded question...............if you will excuse the pun. The issue to me is not that a Tazer was used with seven cops present ...............but were the guidlines of the trial broken? That SD is the issue. Can the police be trusted with Tazors?

    So f.cken simple

Don't get yourself in the position that the cops need to pepper spray ,tazer or shoot you.
If the police say lie down don't piss with them.

As for the kaftan wearing liberals, sorry but I class steel toe boots as a weapon(had them used on me,black eye, sore ribs),ask the cop in the Mangakino cemetry, also that Waitara incident he had golf clubs, baseball bats they do some mighty fine damage, options I see is reasonable force first then progress up to deadly force, but remember we are in our cosy homes when the cops are faced with this shit, easy to say cops fucked up nah nah nah,how would the liberals feel if their home was invaded, ladies raped, guy murdered, all because cops didn't have resources to deal with the situation.
Hello officer put it on my tab

Seven cops against one guy? Fuck are they pussys or what. Now if that's the standard of frontline police well ok if they need to use a Tazer then who am I to stop them. The question I asked..............were the guidlines broken?

These guidlines are there to protect you and I.........the public, and that includes the kaftan liberals also, not that many are wearing them in this 'enlightened' age.

Remember, its easy to analyse and criticse, not so easy when you are in that situation and have only a moment to make a decsion, with hesitation having the potential to make the situation worse, all pumped up with adrenalin and the like.

Actually a recent phenomena known as Excited delirium has been discovered. This condition has resulted in many deaths over the years and the cops have been blamed for excessive use of force. A situation where seven cops try to effect an arrest of an offender, particularly if the offender is high, can bring on this condition. The best and safest way to subdue them is to use the tazer. This will protect the cops, and probably save the guys life.

That's not entirely true. The medical profession is at odds if the condition actualy exists. This article implicates the use of Tazors in the medical theory with a death. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=7622314

But my post asks the question were the guidlines in Tazer use broken? That to me is the fundamental issue the TV item 'covertly' raised; that seven officer were present when a tazor was fired to subdue an indavidual.

I dearly hope that the Tasers become standard issue.

Goodness knows I'd rather take a five-second Taser ride than get pepper-sprayed and spend an hour with my head under a cold shower making whimpering noises.

I wonder if the limp-dicked liberals wringing their hands over whether Tasers are a good idea have ever been face to face with a smelly brown gentleman twice their size, suffering from the effects of a few days 'up' on methamphetamine, who has decided to take issue with the world in general and them in particular.

Come to think of it, I'd like to apply the same general idea to policymakers and cage drivers. The former should be required to spend six months as front-line cops, and the latter should be required to spend six months with nothing but a GN250 as transport. The country's average level of stupidity would be immediately reduced.

The cops are given a bloody effective alternative to the Glock, and some bleeding heart liberals get their little panties in a knot cos someone might die from being tazered??????? Tell you what, let htem turn up at an incident where some nutter is spnning out with a knife/golf/club/baseball bat or whatever is close at hand and let them reason with said nutter.......
The problem is that these anti taser types have grown up in nice safe homes where the worst thing that ever happened to them was that their milk was served too warm!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt if many here, including myself would disagree with the use of a Tazor in the conditions that you desrcibe. However this was not the situation that SD raised in his thread. Perhaps the police were right to use a Tazor. I don't know. But seven against one...............this is not what you have described in the above. The problem I have with tazors is not their use but their abuse. And if the police can not use this 'resource' in the correct manner then it should not be made available to them. And we all know how they use their radar guns in hiding don't we?
