This Tazor thing; it's all a plot from the makers of Monopoly. They are doing a face lift for their 'bored' game and GO TO GAOL is so yesterday. Instead they are rebranding that segmont of the game and calling it TAZORED. You can't get up until you throw a double six

MY mention of 7 cops was purely hypothetical.

But in situations like that nobody wants to be a hero (you public don't pay us THAT much!!) - especially if a Tazer is available.

As somebody said earlier: Don't get yourself into a Tazer-likely situation in the first place.

You'd think that the funny red beam aiming at ya would be enough of a deterrent for most people.

    So was the Monopoly.

I see the trial is finished. Will be interesting to see if they are procured and issued to front line police. With Sharples and the Greens opposing their use along with the uncertainties of the next election it might not be as clear cut as some would wish. Can you imagine the Minister of Police from the Maori Party? Now that would be a headbanger.

to clear up the point on the number of officers at the scene. The quote by the media softies was that 9 officers were present.
1st - It was an AOS (Armed offenders)call out.
2nd - Most of the officers would not have even be able to see the offender as they are there to cordon and contain not to approach.
3rd - now the trial has finished wait for the first person to be shot and then listen to the bitching.

I am wondering if you are referring to the two officers who shot themselves by accident, with their own tazer?
A very good thing that they were not armed with a Glock!

    End of the day

You will phone the police if a guy breaks into your home,if said crim is on meth and about to blow you away ,rape ya partner and kids, cops turn up and have the options,1)talk nicely and slowly to make crim give up,2)reach for pepper spray only to find he has the salt shaker due to dislexic volunteer in station,3)has tazer and scared to use it incase the crim has a heart problem,4)shoot the crim, but needs to weigh up pros and cons of situation-time elapsed is 15 mins,by this time your dead, the wifes been raped, son killed, daughter raped and killed, cop about to get killed in line of duty and crim breaks his leg jumping over fence and getting acc after getting priority surgery, thus further meaning your dad has to wait longer for his hip operation due to shortage of staff.
Anyone else see whats happening here.

Agree 7 cops may be tad ott,but they don't know the mindset of each crim, some want cops to kill them.
Hello officer put it on my tab

There was one that said 7 present, another said 9... but both were Armed Offender Incidents... the majority of those present were fully armed AOS and then the Tazer man... Again, what choice would you prefer?

So "there were 7 officers there yet the Tazer was used"

My thoughts: Yeah so 8 people were saved from serious injury.

MY thoughts: Shoot more losers - then the bleeding-heart greenie soft-cock losers would start to think the tazer was not so bad after all.

I wonder how many front-line cops think the Tazer is not a good thing???
And the boss, while being interviewed was asked if 7 Police Officers would normally be sufficient to overcome one...

His response was "Yes,...." then he was cut off just as he was taking in a breath to continue... and we all know he was about to launch into how heavily armed this sack of shit was, but the good old media put paid to him saying that didn't they...

Kevlar and carbon fibre are two different things. Carbon is indeed a good conductor, and kevlar is not.

I know you are just joking, but this list is a bit over the top. The police should have all those items except for the pens.
