Lost out again on Trademe

BUGGER! I need a bike before summer, and money is tight with a mortgage etc, so wanted to get an old machine off TM...I was beaten again on a GS400...Im gutted...bloody TM is a curse!....thinkin seriously bout going to bikeshop and gettin into some more hock...

What I like are 70s bikes so hoping to get a GS, CB or XS or possibly an early XJ. Currently on a tight budget so will have to be cheap. I looked at the GSX last week...not too bad but not my style...the GS550 is in the NI so no good, GPX400 is too sporty for my liking, the VF is in North Shore...and the XJ too much money, unless I organise a loan....but is on my watchlist....something will come up...but it can be bloody depressing!

Don't know what your budget is like, but there is an ealy 90's CB750 the same as mine (see profile piccy) on Trade me. don't have access to trade me at the moment so cant find it. From memory it was $1500 ish and would be excellent buying.

I reckon the GS550 wold be a good buy - providing the stator and R&R are not toast, looks fairly straight and original...costs bugger all from Wellington.
