Wink New kid on the block... (VXRider)

...well, quite a bit older than a kid really, but growing up is alway just an option....

...have been licensed to ride for 40 years, and now getting my grandkids licensed to ride.....

....I ride because I can, and through riding met most of the people I choose to socialise with, other than family...mind you several riding mates have become extended family....

...and that about sums me up...
    4 wheels move the body,
    2 wheels move the soul.

Welcome Jim, now where are all my photos of you?

Oh here's one of you in your gear matching the decor at the Simply Balmy cafe in Foxton and then there's your VX - don't see many of them around eh!

Thanks Merv, speaking of photos there are a couple I have somewhere from the time you buried your bike on our run around the coast.

I'll have to see if I can locate the pics.......as I recall the cafe owners in Martinborough weren't too happy about you tracking all that mud into their cafe..

well there was that one, and these two...I like the one of just the bike stuck in the mud...sorta says "look Ma, no stands"

You may have seen them before, as I think it was your brother Neil who took them. How is he BTW??

Yeah those photos were off my camera and I posted all of them on my website (now defunct) at the time. I've attached the one now of you on the Degree coming to the top of the gravel scree. Then the one going through the ford at the White Rock end.

Bro' is doing fine and still riding and we meet up occasionally here or in the Bay. We did this ride with him on his GR650 http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=37744, not really a trail bike eh - so the VX could do that if you wanted - but then you have the KLR for that.

When are you and Richard up for another gravel bash? 1998 is a while ago you know.

I've mentioned this as a lesson to all dirt bikers in the past, from years of experience me and my Bro' always carry a rope, it makes recovering bikes from sticky situations a whole lot easier.

The worst thing about that spot is it looked like a nice bit of grassy land - how wrong I was and the Suzuki just went gloop.
