    Smile Happy Ride!!

    Just thought I'd share.

Hadn't ridden my bike for a few months, very sad, due to weather being crappy, tyres needed replacing and then I spent a month sick in bed, a week in hospital and then two weeks getting used to the cocktail of drugs I'm now on, so no riding (or ) for me

Anyway, this morning I woke up early, no wind, dry road, fine weather, feeling pretty good, not too zombie like, I think a ride is in order, so dragged the other half outta bed to come with.

My darling hubby had taken the bike to have new tread put on front and back while I was ill and had kindly done a few km's on them, so the new tyres needed no scrubbing in either, ahhhh, bliss!!!

Started off slowly to get back into it, but soon found it was just like riding a bike and soon I was back in my little groove and loving being back on my baby.

Stopped at Rimutex to warm the hands on my engine (see, the naked bikes do have their uses as the owner of the Gixxer remembered as he warmed his hands on the other side of my engine) Geeze it's cold in the Hutt!!!

Rode to the top of the hill, Café was closed unfortunately and someone's visor was fogging , so decided to head home. Had a bit of fun at the sets of lights on River road and meandered over the Hayward's and rode the Pahatanui inlet the smoothest I've ever done. Home to warm up, have some toast and give the bike a well deserved clean.

To sum up, glad to be feeling better enough to be able to ride again, LOVE my new tyres and looking forward to more fine days!!!

Have fun out there everyone, hope you all get out for as nicer ride as I did today

    Well done Babe!

Nothing like a bit of happiness to get you feeling better either...

And Mr K, you rock! Funnily enough, my hubby does the same sort of things for me...*sigh* I so very lucky!

Anyway, you get better and go easy ok? I want to be able to party with you when i ride down for the Birthday bash...

That's fantastic T!!! Knowing how crappy you've been this is just lovely to hear.

We might have just missed you as we were leaving the cafe at about 4pm. and sat in ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL that traffic coming home from the daffodil day in Carterton

I'm just so happy for you.

Hi Trudi I didn't realise you had been sick because I've been a slight wreck myself and haven't been riding but I'm just carrying the bloody 100 day cough - never got near a hospital or anything like that as you have. I did Buck's ride yesterday as a bit of a wind back into it so wasn't out on the bike today.

Glad you back and hope all is right with you now.
    Cheers

    Merv

Sounds good Mrs Kendog! Always a good feeling to get back in the saddle after some time away (enforced or otherwise)!

Been missing my bike a bit too lately, as it's been waiting for the parts to arrive from Japan to get it all fixed up again! Happily they arrived late last week, so all going well I'll take it in tomorrow to get it all fixed up - it'll be a good feeling to get out and ride again, as you've just discovered.
