The front hanging down down bits on the frame have to be cut off, and wider/longer ones welded back on, but the rear mounts line up ok. There is a lot of squeezing/swearing/forcing involved with carbs, airbox etc. The tank had to be modified for the bigger airbox.
Someone has put a fireblade engine in a 400 frame, and from what I remember it was a bit of a handfull.

Finishing third on a 600 to the 400's is bit embarassing innit. I thought it was a FZR600 in a 400. But yeah, we thought about doing that to see if anyone would notice. But we're too honest.

dunno too much aobut benefits of putting VFR750 engine in 400 ? as the 750 frame is much sim and everythin fits properly. I think these days doing the old put bigger engine in smaller bikes frame is getting less and less worth the trouble as their frames are so light and similar in weight anyway, but nevertheless we still do it roll on my XR500 in XR200 frame.

I had a CB250RS with an XR500 donk. It wasn't super flash; I think it had the wrong carb, so I had lotsa fun trying to get it jetted right. Had crap tyres, so didn't handle great either, but it was LOUD and FUN and did monster wheelies.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Only the one? I would have thought that it was up to a couple of dozen by now. Especially for all the work you do on his bikes everytime he crashes or catches on fire.
