Either I will be a lazy scenic pillion or may bring a GSXR (he is keeping firm grip on Daytona keys now!!) we are busy planning as many rides as possible

Really glad you are keeping warm now will have to get a pic of the togs

Did invest in a bottle or two in duty free and will look forward when we can all catch up again

hey stranger, nice to hear you're back...pity you didnt bring the gold coast weather with ya

It is a shame it conflicts with Manfield but I have to be in taranaki on that saturday. Might (probably) head over to manfield on the sunday.

would be good to see you along. there are some fairly exciting roads hidden away up in the naki.

I thought you were suggesting that 86 lent you his bike for a bit until I saw the clean and shiny bit. Whos Daytona you ride?

Would be a good ride to get out on. This one will be a little tamer than the last one. Especially after I pick the girl up.

No pic allowed, but you can take my word for it. They are very comfy.

all good. All relevant (and mostly irrelevant) info will be posted here..
Timings??? Aiming to be at the Naki at....??
I have to be in waitara before 1230 but after that it will be open to whatever happens on the day.
Boob.. should turn it into a convoy and get the regulars out and about... and meet the faces!!
sounds good. Last May we accidently run into the naki crew on Mt messenger. They stopped in awakino for lunch and we carried on.
About time the Naki had another ride in/around the area....

no...an R6 was first if i recall, then the RF, 9 was in the middle somewhere, just in front of the off roader
and it was actually one of those blue jobbies, thought it might have been the one from your mates shop

yep. shocking as it was. Last trip we did 752 km in 7 and a half hours but were out of the house for 12 and a half hours. This time there will be less stopping.

Very shocking. I'm in. I'm supposed to be working that weekend, but I'm sure I can get someone to swap. Should be a good one! Definitely in for Manfield on Sunday too!

    Ride.

'Was thinking along the lines of meeting at Lepperton or Waitara & following till Taumaranui, then heading back thru Whangamomona etc.

Ok. rough (and if you know me you know what rough means) guidelines for the plan of the day.

0815 meet at ashhurst mobil station
    0830 leave ashhurst mobil station
    1030 hawera fuel and coffee
    1100 head to waitara
1130 pick girl up in waitara
1135 meet at caltex in middle of waitara/coffee smoke
    1200 head to awakino
dont care about timing from here........

Leave at about 830am and home when we finish riding.

    Nice little map.
If you need a coffee/whatever stop, I'm next to the main drag outta town. Enjoy the ride, looks like fun and I know most of those roads very well. niceone:

2nd that! Bloody fantastic stretch of road, in fact I like the lot. From New Plymouth north to Urenui is alot more free flowing but it changed into real back country twisties, bloody marvellous

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
