I'd thought you'd know Chancey from your own experience.
    Basically not enough regrouping.

When I did catch up (10mins down the road) I tried to phone Cowboyz and Sarah tried to ring 86.

Bonez played tail end Charlie for most of the ride but I think he was getting sick of it in the end.

Apart from that I enjoyed the ride as it took my mind off everything else for a bit.

You, Bones2 and a few others did a bit too.

On a lighter note I'm proud to anounce that the CX shead a pillion peg in the Naki somewhere in the tradition of an Asshurt(SP) run. Was wondering if any Naki riders come across it, wishfull thinking I know, please PM me. Chocy fish as a reward. Wondered why it was vibrating a bit more than usual and sounded louder on the rh side. The exhaust was flapping about on the header studs.

Oh and the tolal oil consumption 1.2ltrs for those interested.

We waited at the turn off to Vinegar hill for quite some time but heard nothing. Regrouping? Bonez stood pretty much at the side of the road as to let everyone know where we were so short of jumping out front of people motoring along the road there was not to much else that could be done. Just so as there is no misunderstanding i'm not having a crack at Sarah OR anyone else. I know from experience myself the it's all to easy to miss such things when you're giving the road and your riding the attention it it deserves. No harm done anyway coz that road pretty much was going nowhere but Palmy. The ride....ah the ride, to be completely honest the rain was a pain but for me failed to put any kind of damper (pun intended) on the day due to the company I was in so in a nut shell it was yet another great day in great company on great bikes on great roads! It's days like yesterday that take motorcycling from a great pastime to the best pastime It was great to finally meet Sarah, Pritch008 and Bones2 and put names to faces. The weather here is FREAKIN' awesome and i'm in the process of trying to dry bits and pieces out well enough to ride in (maybe lunchtime). Thanks to all for a number off 1st's for me yesterday as 95% off those roads I had never ridden before.

Was a little tired and sore when i got home last night I sure wish i had the meanie seat on the concours
Had an awesome day and enjoyed the company imensley Met a few more kbers on the way
Sarah seemed to enjoy riding the hornet and from what i saw, which wasnt much (the concours dosnt like hanging at the back like the meanie did) she was definitly getting the hang of it Sorry you missed us at the turn of to viniger hill Sarah but sounds like you had some fun of your own Do tell
I have to say the best part of the ride for me is the road between eight mile junction and Taumarunui, that rocks and is so much better without a police escort eh dogs
Dam it rained in Wiaouru, my gloves were soaked through,so pleased i took a second pair
Viniger hill rocked as always I led the pack through but had Sarge hot on my tail, lost him on the straights but dam he is quick on those twisties Had him pass me at one stage of the day round the outside, nearly laid flat and he even managed a wave Way, to go sarge
Thanks all for an awesome day, looking forward to dogs Gisbourne trip now

    Ride safe

    Nice shots James and yod.

I note that it was only 312 from Pio Pio to home,so about 230ks to Tauramanui.
Hmmm- Pahongina Valley, Apiti, Kimbolton, Mangaweka, Taihapi, Waiouru, National Park, Tauramanui, Wangamomina, Stratford, then home run could be on the cards in the near future.

Good to see all safe and sound.

Who says you're a bunch of hoons lol.

Was having a beer sat arvo after you all left,a lady from the garage was saying to the bar guy about the group of bikes which migrated to Sth Rd,was annoyed she couldn't get a look at them as was stuck in the office, said the group looked like having fun in a totally uncoordinated way(must mean parking ways)next time will get them to make forcourt larger lol.

If you want to do whanga run, idea is to make it a 2 day run, either ride from Taumaranui to whanga or from your way to Stratford to whanga then back home costs $95 pp dinner, bed, brekky, and good storage, sleeps about 26 off hand.

Nice pics too, enjoy your humour and excellent ride brief, allways informative.

Shame couldn't carry on with you to NP.
