    I can't help but think that some people are trying to get their post rate up for precisely this purpose.

    Another forum I used to go to ended up doing that, a few people joined who were posting 50 odd times per day if not more, ive seen it in the hundreds.

    Makes a mess of the forum as most topics become unreadable unless your spending 24 hours a day on them. Try reading a topic when its growing faster than you can read.
