It counts towards the little green squares under your post count, but beware this should not be directly proportional to your self esteem!
Check out your "User CP" and you can see the comments people have made regarding your post. After you get to a certain post count you will be able to see who gave you the rep.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be quoted out of context, then used against you.

it doesnt count towards anything, you get nothing, its a complete waste of time, etc, etc.
now if you won a prize for the most recieved in a week or something like that then it could be usefull.

so basically, if it wasnt there it wouldnt be missed, therefore a waste of time coz i dont do anything on here that i cant do on other forums.
including posting pictures, which apparantly i cannot do due to the infractions???
