That would be awesome! Don't worry, no tickets booked just yet. Overseas will either be for a PHD in which case departure would be mid-late 2008, or for work (around Feb/Mar '08). I could go to OZ straight away in Dec '07 - but after travelling there about 6 times now, I ain't convinced that it's much better than NZ.

I'm definately not coming on this ride now since I will probably have to turn down work to go, and I'm going to europe in december so will need all the $$$ I can get. Back january for more riding though

Europe ...nice! Man, hate to think what kind of bike you could have bought with the money your Euro trip is gonna cost ya! Still, we gotta do these things from time to time eh? Got my sisters wedding in Oz next week, there's an easy 2 geeees gone.

Anyway, Taupo ride is probably gonna just be me and Mei since all you students are actually studying and working in your case Twinkle.

Me and morcs are looking to ride down for the racing. Really keen to see these fast guys n gals.

Are you still doing the vegas stop over? If so then I reccomend the "Hot rock Backpackers" They are pretty average

but have a great night life in their bar(normally foreign and female).

Let me know if you wan to ride together

could always borrow some money from the parentals or what-not and buy a bike while in europe to travel round on and sell it before you come back....doubt ud lose a whole lot of money on the resale and plus it would be a great way to see the world
