I got a 91 yammy sr250 which has been kicked about a bit goes alright but seems that when i kick up into 5th it loses power/speed (not sure of which as.. if im traveling at 95kmh in 4th kick up to 5th speed will go down to like 85k if any slight uphill or breeze) anyones comments/ideas would be appreciated

don't kick it then.. try doing it smoothly ... do you like being kick... I don't know much about the SR... other than it was designed as a comutor to take on the GN....

carbs may need a clean out, check air filter, check fuel line,

    either that loose some weight

Back in the ol days of two stroke trail bikes I had a similar thing regularly, was when the exhaust pipe baffles were blocking up, decoking was the answer.
