It also came up who should hang onto to the banner, as some people go here and others there and sometimes everyone at the same place!
But I might be interested in getting an KB unrelated one made up
As a group we havent discussed if we go to Magpie or Burt, but it wouldnt surprise me if some go one place and others to another.Originally Posted by Scumdog

No, that was dmouse standing next to his award winner.
Congrads for winning best custom in show!
Apparently I won a prize as well, but I wasn't there to claim it!! I think it was a spot prize.
I'll be putting more photos of CK goings on at that rally on our website. You know.. just silly ones of us posing and laughing :P

Another good xcuse to get out for a run. A tootleround the Summit road to the site.
A good turn out, and as said before, good price's.
Wind blasted through at some stages, but did not detract from the event.
Daylight saving sure had me buggered by the end of Sunday night.
Really enjoyed chillin out at Ruapuna to see the buckets tearing up the track on the way home.
Took a few pictures to share... webbyshotty'd again.

Now looking forward to the run up to Nelson, awesome road's, spot on part of the country, and a suitably wicked venue for a chill out weekend rally![]()
Leaving Dunedin on the Friday 09:30ish with Xaria we went north to Palmerston (for a quick pit stop... and I forgot to take the lead and take Xaria through trotters gorge) anyway then on to Oamaru where we had a bit to eat. Xaria then headed back to Dunedin while I headed north to Timaru for fuel.
Heading off again to Temuka and Winchester and turning off on to 72 to come up the middle. Stopping in Geraldine to visit a friend and a coffee... Though they were just going out so no coffee. Bugger, decided to go to Methven for coffee instead and did the full pit stop and fuel, coffee, little biker room. Then head off again turning off a onto a couple of roads just to see what was down them, finding out that there was nothing and turning back...
Down and into the Rikia Gorge at a slightly increased rate of knots, over the two bridges and then not turning right and going straight ahead up the hill getting half way up before I realised...go the other right...the other other right... turning back and the starting again
Shooting up the other side again (2nd attemped) at a slightly accelarated rate of knots came to the first tight 35-45km left corner... ferk still doing ummm a extra few knots down a few gears throwing the anchors out, full inverse steering getting round at 110-120
and only going ever so slightly wide... I must remember that for next time... 109 good ... 110 bad for this corner. Up through the rest of the short gorge uneventfull though at an increased speed than the recommended sign posted speed for the corners... as one does...
On into ChCh to Mr S place using the GPS Co-Ordinates to guide me and found his place with no issue other than once I found the road, following it all of a sudden I found I was on another road WTF... We went out for dinner and a few drinks which not to bad, though we had to wait an aweful long time for a table. Back at Mr S went watch Die Hard 4 and it was pretty cheesy.
Next morning was up bright and early... and I mean early was a 7am. having a couple of coffee's and repacked gear but leaving the packs in the garage we went tround to Lemans place to see the dogs... while we were there we redesigned the place and made the command decision for him what he should do with his renovating![]()
With Rick in tow we then went to the big smoke of Rangiora to to pick up Ghost Bullet, and had subway for lunch then back to Mr S to meet every one else.
Packing the Bike, Topping the hydropack we were off to go through the tunnel to show off the debaffled Ducati's. Through Lyttelton setting off a car alarm I could see Mr S's smile saying mission accomplished. Up and over the Sumitt Road stopping a bit up so Mr S could fine tune suspension. While we were stopped Lemans and SDU kept going. I must admit the sumit road could be a fun road if it was in better condition, less cyclists, no buses wtf, and less grit but still had fun.
On out to the site and wondering why Mr S was slowing me down through a nice sweeper... but he having the lead saw the sign for the site...The rally... was well a rally, all the usual going ons that go on at a rally. The prices were really good...
Next morning up early as GB and Mr S were going out to the track day I did um and ah whether to go for a looksy... deciding to go home as I was meeting Xaria in Palmerston I shot down State Highway 1 :Boring:
Overal a good weekend with friends and had a lot of fun. Thank you to Mr S and Mrs S for their hospitality.
Here's my well edited video clip. Not saying it is good, more sanitised.
Good to catch up again D.
Nice but slow ride around the hills as SDU was sore and out of practise and hates hills even driving a car.
I will turn up to the Magpie and so will SDU if she is not working.
Not sure at this point if we or I are staying the night.
Now after hearing the Ducks pipes I have opened up mine moded the tubes in there and welded polished and put the bike back together.
SDU says it sounds nice with out being noisy.![]()
Feel the fear and do it anyway
Don't confuse education with intelligence.
There are alot of highly educated idiots out there.
Video and photos now up

Yeah it was ages but the food was pretty good--but then any food is if you don't have to cook it.
It was good to catch up with you all
Aw shit I'm really worried now- I just want the bathroom & hall finished first.
You now know why...
I don't hate hills- but I hate that road-
I think the couple of times I have done it now it is always gusty, a bus has just about pushed me off the edge & the amount of idiots who use my side of the road to come around the corner just makes me really paranoid.
I'm a hill nana anyway. Yet on the back I use to push you to go faster all the time around the hills.
So thanks guys for waiting for us at Gebbies & Lemans for crawling around so I can follow
Yeah the food was okay and was good to catch up...
Well, in our resructuring and designing I am sure there was a bathroom and hall there somewhere...
It wasn't too bad... but just could be better... and I do suppose its a confidance thing.
Tell you the honest truth I didn't notice the wind much, one of the advantages of a faired bike I suppose... you only really notice it on a direct side swipe...
I can understand the idots that use your side of the road, and being paranoid about it... but at the end of the day there isn't alot you can do about it, so enjoy the ride the best you can. and practise the "Oh F#*@" stops and or manouvers.
Coming round one of the last corners I hit a bit of grit (Well a rather large patch actually) and a cage slightly cutting the corner and me nearly going slightly wide sliding on the grit... it was a "Oh... F#*@..." moment if I had slammed on the archors I would have just skidded and hit the cage... If did any sudden movements in steering the bike would have either skidded and hit the car or the front going out from under me and slidding and hitting the car... I didn't like any of those options...
What I did do was the line I had picked was very close to where the cage was, and I only made a slight alteration and deceleration in speed missed the cage... but I could see the the driver of the cage nearly shat his pants... and somehow I think he won't be cutting corners again in a hurry... I would have missed the cage by mere centermetres...
oh yeah... we were waiting for you,was all good
