I believe that (based on chatting with some north american guzzi friends) further down river several people perished in the floods...

There was a series of piccies of one guys effort to save his beloved Jackel and a total strip and clean. It took an accomplished mech (the owner) 35 hours of solid work just to get the bike to run. There was river silt everywhere, inside the engine etc etc...

sad - BUT there will be a lot of new Guzzis sold once the insurance pays out...

sadder - There will be some serious dodgy used Guzzi's and spares on ebay soon...

Really sad. There must be some pissed off Guzzi owners out there.

That not many people would read a part from Guzzi owners.

If you can not be stuffed reading or looking at that thread.
I will post some of the links so you guys can get some other views of the sad event.

This little vid sum's it up. (well worth a look)

I was not trying to give you a hard time and I did not say re-post.
As you could of and did and did miss it in a search.
I was just letting you know in the nicest way I could and trust me that can be hard for me.
So good on you for posting it as the other thread has been going for a while now.
And a lot of people would have stopped reading it and you brought it up again for more people to see the sad event that unfolded for the poor and unlucky rally goers, whether they were Guzzi riders or riders of any other bike band.
