    Lighting and a weird smell

Bulb blew yesterday.. so rode home on high beam.

Then I forgot about the bulb, had an emergency and had to ride all the way over to bucklands beach... got 2 minutes down the road then the high beam filament blew too! Got to the gas station and got a new bulb. But while I was fitting it a woman walking past said "is that your bike thats smells funny?" I just brushed off the comment saying "yeah its pretty normal". As I have anosmia I cant smell a flipping thing....

What should I check? Did over 150ks last night (yes I got lost looking for bucklands beach) with the new bulb and no problems - but just worried that it was weird both filaments blew within about an hour of each other!

check the battery isnt boiling dry, when my regulator/rectifier shit itself it was pumping out 19 volts to the battery causing it to boil, with a putrid smell, right before all the fuses blew.

What he said .... there's no way you can ignor this. Toasting the electrics on your bike would cost you more than its worth.

Agreed. Had this happen in my Nissan Primera, though none of the bulbs blew... Just the switching FETs in my stereo power amp
