Help me find my bike... (Ksaki Rider)

    Hey everyone,
I have been riding for about 2 years and finally got enough money together to afford the bike i had been looking at since the day i first got my licence. It was a 2006 kawasaki zxr636, limited edition titanium silver with the red graphics.
I have enjoyed meeting heaps of great people out on the road and was amazed at the 'head knodding' that goes on between bike riders... this is where I need some help.
Last thursday night my bike was stolen from Auckland in a security carpark, it was chained to a concrete pillar. It has had the ignition barrel ripped out and i am guessing lifted by a couple of guys over a car and onto a trailor...
I have sent emails to all dealers and wreckers to keep a look out for some one ordering a new ignition barrel in the hope of catching them and giving them a good beating!
A guy I know from MT Eden Motor cycles suggested I try Kiwi Rider for some help from you guys. I have all the details of the bike, ie VIN,Chasis and engine numbers. If anyone has seen or heard anything I would really appreciate some help. We all love our bikes, just don't realise how much until they have been stolen.... It was also not yet insured..... $15k gone....

that really sucks mate i feel for you, the lengths these guys are going to just to get bikes must be a real market for stolen property....

.. did you check for security footage from the carpark or other cams that may be in the area?

In with the first thread with a blaze. Hope you get your bike back, the sooner the better the condition, although a doco on TV a week or so ago showed cars disassembled in 2 hours.

Sorry to hear about your bike and worse that you didnt have insurance.

Its a tough lesson to learn, but you should never have a car or bike and not be insured - its just not worth the risk. Terrible that you had to find out the hard way.

It was sitting in about 10 pieces where my bike was supposed to be !

I might get lucky, if the thieves are really stupid and put it on trade me or something like that. i will just keep my eyes open.

I was really looking forward to a great summer on the bike.... guess I just have to start saving for Autumn and the insurance this time....

There was no video in my appartment building... Pretty sure it was an inside job, needed security swipe for gates etc. Sure they had been watching it, and if they wanted it bad enough nothing was going to stop them.

yeh, have done that, building manager questioned them...can't prove anything or accuse anyone yet but I have my suspicions.
Next bike is going to be the same, looking at one down at The Mount this weekend. This one might have to be financed this time! the cash has gone, but I guess on the possitive side I am not paying off something I don't have anymore!!!!!

    Fuck, that's a bitch.

We had a fair dealing with thieves ourselves (Auckland Uni Motorcycle Club) over the last few weeks. There was 3 bikes stolen at Uni in the span of one week, 1 Wasabi Green Kawasaki, 1 CBR250 with a Tyga Kit and a Aprilla RSV1000.

But the funny thing was, nobody actually questioned the fuckers who chucked the bikes into their ute/vans/rode it away. Seeing it's Symonds Street, right next to Uni, you'd think the thieves wouldn't have the balls with all the people right, but no...

As for us, it's pretty much got to the point where we're actually implementing some sort community watch and strange enough, we nearly caught one those thieving cunts trying to stick a screwdriver into a R1 on Symonds St.

As you can see, it's usually the new or exotic looking bikes they're after.

I can yab on about security this and that but if the cunts want it bad enough, they'll take it.

Let me know if you catch them, or get a lead, we'll organize a 'txt bash' behalf of the Auckland Uni Riders.

Sorry about the cussing, I just have no respect for people who nick bikes...
