Well good size group tonight ... all said they were coming that I knew about accounted for ... skunk included

not sure of numbers but a good group headed over to the tin hutt with the stragglers heading to Sandbar in need of a gentle ride ...

Sure there will be a ride report from the hill ride soon.

    Cheers

    Thanks and apologies

Thanks and apologies to all those who waited for me on the way home.

Since we'd all left in dribs & drabs from the Tin Hut, I'd kind of assumed I was on my own ... so when my parents called me, I stopped and called them back, and talked for about 15-20 minutes.

Then heading up the hill, I met Wasp coming back to look for me, and there were a whole bunch more sitting at the summit - we almost never regroup there on the way home, right?

So - sorry about that, and I'll try not to do it again.

Having said that - perhaps we need slightly more organisation when it comes to the homeward leg? At least perhaps have a nominated 'leader' who has a vague idea where everyone's going?

    Richard

Mrs H and I did our own cruisy ride tonight. RWH was spotted gassing on a cellular and also a group at the top of the summit.

Female HP tried to bust me at Upper Hutt for doing 103kmh somewhere she wasn't exactly sure of when questioned, it could have been near the roadworks at the Mangaroa lights (not signposted going south). The presence of another motorcycle that may or may not have been in front at the same time further compounded the ambiguity. So we exchanged pleasantries and then went our own ways, as you do.

Nice night for a ride; though I did find the RD's headlight a little lacking on the downward side of the hill... Some of the corners jumped out of nowhere at me so I fell back a bit and used high beam.

Time for some work on the old girl I think.

Who was the female on the red Kawasaki at the Tin Hut?

Was great night for a ride! I really wished I had a camera attached to the front as Going over the straights before Temarua it was a great image with the bikes in the evening haze. Things started to flow again so I had to do an extra lap of the rapa side.
