He's lying right here beside me, but he has a headache and in no mood for riding today.

Well I was on the ride. On my way up the hill I noticed that my front way dipping alot under braking and tipping in alot in the corners. Got to the top and and pushed down on my hande bars and the shocks went down a very long way. So I turned back and slowly rode home. Really pissed off because I got it serviced on monday.
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

Nope, checked that straight away. I had new pads put in and maybe they fucked about with the shocks adjustment

    Seems unlikely.

New pads can be quite grabby for a while, are you just pulling up quicker without realising it?

    Checked front tyre pressure?

I can press the front end half way down by hand.

So can I, (but I'm a fat bastard).

Is the spring preload adjustable? Don't know what the sag should be on that, someone else will. I'd expect somewhere around 10mm static, (bike weight only) and maybe 30mm with you on it, (in normal riding position). Need someone to hold you up and measure.

Either way, if the sag's way too much then it's nothing to do with damping, either the preload is way out or a spring's broken, (rare).

I never used to be able to push the front down that far. I'm going to take it back to TSS tomorrow and ask "what the fuck?"

No, you'll be polite and ask if they can have a look please. Darren will say, "No worries mate, when do you need it by."

Good. They all react much better to pleasant people at TSS. Plus there's a Ginga in workshop. Go in there and say "WTF?" on the wrong day and he may just play hide the torque wrench.
