I didn't make it to TCWNR, but did make it to welly briefly. The rapa riders had a wee cruise out to Martinborough in the morning for lunch then back to Masterton. Seeing as it was still only about 1.30 in the avo, it was a sunny public holiday, and I have a new bike, I might as well ride to Welly and catch up with a mate.

Tracked him down, then learnt a new trick in the evening. He's having a 28 day break from motorcycling, so had my first go at carrying a passenger. Just cruised round the bays taking it very easy.

Eventually headed back to Masterton late last night. Was warm when I left Welly, but it got rather cold between Carterton and Masterton.

Nice bike too Brent!! Was a good day for ride, friggin cold again today. I am not sure how long you waited for me to catch up on our back to masterton, hopefully wasnt too long. Didnt really enjoy that back way, a few scares on the tight corners. You still going to meet us 'rapa' folk when you finally move over to the wellyregion!!!

Waited for a wee bit, but not tooo long. Theres a couple of rough bits with nasty bumps, especially on the single lane sections.

Yeah, I'll be boosting over to catch up with you guys no doubt.

Yea the single lane sections....not much fun. Hadnt riden the back way to gladstone since ages ago, gave myself a fright. At least I could get into sixth gear this ride though.

Don't know yet. There may or may not be one depending on if I can stop riding long enough to write it.

A cruise around the bays was the original plan for the TCWNR crew, but plan B (#3) seemed to be better supported. Some of us were a tad late getting back, so we may well have passed you on our/your return.

And yes, once the sun dissapeared it was brisk over there. Bracing, even.

I am thinking a two to two and half hour non-stop ride over the hill this evening from 6.30 and perhaps stopping back in Upper Hutt before 9 for coffee if it is not getting too dark.

A group of no more than 5 would be preferred. And no it will not be a fang, just a cruisie ride.

PM if you are interested and we may get away at 6.15 from the duckpond.

    Heads Up and Enjoy
