I popped up to the top of the takas on the off chance you guys might have come that way but you mustn't have. Never mind tho, had a wee yarn with one of the salesman from Motomart up the top and then cruised down the hill as far as Featherston with him.

Will be a bit of a more regular starter from the duckpond as of next week

Now that the wall socket has been replaced, yes I can!

There is no "rules" about organising rides on KB, anybody can organise any sort of ride, anytime, just by posting the details. (No need to have a poll on it...)

Having said that, I tend to agree with Hitchers earlier post about leaving the format the the TCWNR as it is...nice and loose.

However if BBNo1 wants to mentor new riders then good on him. BuckBuck often plays the Tail-end-Charlie role now, and I for one appreciate that as I have done it a few times myself and am glad when someone else does it. I think the two concepts can work together. Often now the ride tends to split up into slower and faster groups anyway, people can chose where they want to be. Lets just keep the lines of communication open.

BB also makes a valid point about the daylight - it is getting noticably darker earlier now. Perhaps a slightly earlier departure time would not be a bad idea?
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

I really must get out on a few more rides.
Does anyone have a spare Time Machine I can borrow as I just don't have the available time these days.
I finally got my knee down! …and my shoulder …and my pillion’s head.

    Love the TCWNR's

Teaches me something new every time
Love the 6:30 kick off - gives me time to get home from work, dump the gear and get changed.
Love the general vibe of the assembled masses (27 bikes) the other night. (And not one bin - how comfortable is that ).....Great to see
Not put off by being on "L's" and having to ride in the dark, rather it has stood me in good stead as I have to ride home from work at 10:30pm and 3:30am after some shifts...It definetly ain't light out then...
The ride is of sufficient length to get the fix, and the drink and small feed while enjoying a "Talk some shit" session is one of the great selling points of the evening. Hints tips advice are always passed on, and worked on. Wow Grp Mentoring from lots of different riders, and it's free...Damm are we lucky buggers or what...

And this is what TCWNR is about .... the Ls are there ... there is some challenges ... we, most the time, ride not as a whole but as smaller groups .. I never rode with more than 6 of the larger group as a learner .... with a leader and tail end charlie .... some of the fuss here is just one persons perception of how things should be done ... and as it is a free ride .. and not controlled by that person he has created issues ... oh well ... TCWNR goes on ... Wednesday 6.30 at the duck pond ... this was a time choosen to allow multiple finish times from work and still have a reasonable group to meet at the various stop points.

Well no, someone suggested a small group leaving slightly earlier and it only became an issue by other people taking issue with that. Anyway, move on and get over it.

Amen to that. Thanks Trudi, you know like they say, it is not a case of 'toughen up' but keep on asking until you find someone who understands.

What ever issues exist, it may pay for some people to get to know me to fully understand. I put a period, full stop, finish, to any harmonious relationship that goes sour and move on. Life is too short to get hung up.

Heads Up and Enjoy - and I mean it.
