Thank you Russell for the evening, when I arrived in my car at the carpark and saw all those bikes with the police car at the end of the line I didn't know what to think - well several thoughts crossed my mind.

Anyways though the bbq was a bit of a struggle to get started thanks to you and Deidre for flashing up the microwave.

Gareth and Selwyn, thank you for showing me the Bonnieville, me thinks you may have planted another seed and food for thought next spring if the Hornet doesn't go earlier.

Quite a few names and faces I recognised and was good to catch up.

See you all: up, at, and over the otherside of the Rimutaka Hill on the weekends through winter.

And yes a bowl of porridge at Toppys on a Sunday morning, I've been known to enjoy

    Heads Up and Enjoy

Popped by the car park for a few minutes, but didn't go on the ride
I finally got my knee down! …and my shoulder …and my pillion’s head.

    Thanks for the hospitality Russell.

I guess its time for the Sunday rides again.

    Thumbs up

Good ride, my first with you Wgtn lot.

Got back to Masterton at 9.15 pm, glad that the Rimatukas and the Waiararapa road was dry and not wet like in the afternoon. It was 10 degrees when I got home but was warm and happy with my new gear.

A moment before the photo was taken (damned shutter delay on cellphone cam), Russel was looking up between her legs.

Cannot remember what the problem was - something with the gear lever?

Whats with KB males that they jump to fix chick bikes?
Last week's ride to the Tin Hut had Lissa's Suzuki being worked on.

    Two more (thoughtful) pics.
For those who have never been there, the park bench is next to the duckpond/carpark.

I'd been wondering why its called the elephant pond. Your statement is starting to answer it.
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

When I came along to the very first weds night ride, I was told it was at the Avalon Duckpond but when I got there I never noticed the duckpond BUT there was an elephant wandering around - FOR REAL!!! There was some circus thing happening there at the time..... Uncle B kept going on about some pond but all I had noticed was the elephant so from that first or second Weds night ride he named it the Elephant Pond. I did end seeing the pond eventually!....
