My Volty's stablemate is an SV1000. It just got one of Warlock's stebels (magnum) installed at the weekend and it makes a huge difference. Way better than the factory-fitted horn - louder and lower.

We were lucky to have two SV1000s in the garage at the same time so we could make a direct comparison between the new and old horns. There is no doubt that the new one is easier to hear and would make a driver's head turn!

Now I just need one for the Volty!

I did this with engine running, lights off, and battery charged. Maybe my wiring is shit and I need to install a relay? The horn was working fine for you, right? It didn't come with a relay?
I checked out a thread on another forum, they were talking about installing a relay
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be quoted out of context, then used against you.

The magnums don't come with a relay as they are just a stock replacement and only have a 6amp power drain, the naut comes with one as it pulls 12amps

Hmm, I just ran it wired directly to the battery, battery charged, engine running, and now marginally louder than OEM horn, hardly deafening though. I'm at a loss.

Did you take your earmuffs off?

Mine is loud enough to make people jump, nobody expects that sort of noise from a bike!

Anyway, Warlock, Put me down for another one, same as before thanks!

    PM me ya details again.

C'mon folks, any more takers? I want my Stebel!
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

I'm keen if someone can help me install it.

I'm a bit of a drongo when it comes to wiring.

I have fiitted a naut and it is brilliant, the only thing wrong with it is when you use it to say "thanks for pulling over and letting me pass" it sounds more like "FUCK YOU ,YOU BASTARD" apart from that, get one .
