Anyone know a carpet layer in Taranaki?

I'm looking at recarpeting my humble abode. I've discovered Tard Me is a great place to source near new houselots - mainly as rich Aucklanders redecorate a lot . . .

I'm hoping to find a carpet layer who does cash jobs. Does anyone know of one in Taranaki?

Just as well I work in a retail outlet which happens to sell quality carpet and have 4 guys you can choose from. Not allways that keen on relaying old carpet as can have probs with it when they use the power stretchers,i.e carpet tearing at existing joins. Can ask them as they do the occasional cashy, and are damn good, have another couple of guys from Hawera but travel costs may be more, can check the yellow pages for guys in NP,have fun.

You are right about that ynot..most layers dont wanna know about 2nd carpet installs...even if you think you pick up 2nd carpet in primo condition, joining can be a problem cos of shading, joins where there normally would not be, cant use all of what you buy (throw away the hall carpet) it would have had the most use and not worth relaying..i started laying carpet in 1980 but now just laying hard flooring/prep....layers will charge way more to install 2nd carpet for a number of reasons....personally i dont enjoy that side of flooring but still do the odd job to help someone out when a carpet layer wont.
