    Leather suit inside ALPINESTARS S-MX boots?

    I wear a two piece Alpinestars suit and the legs don't fit inside my (current) boots very well. There's no way the legs would fit over, and even if they did, they'd look incredibly stupid.

    I'm considering upgrading my boots to these ALPINESTARS S-MXs:

    Or these SMX Plus:

    Does anyone own a pair and know if they're generous around the calves? Also, do they squeak when you walk? My current Alpinestars boots are chronic for it.

    I love the Alpinestars I've currently got and I'll keep them as my round town boots. I want to stick with this brand because I'm a poser and it matches my other gear.

    The real question is whether I stick with plain black or go for red to match the bike. Big decisions...

    i should be a little more informative; the smx plus boots have an inner shoe which comes just above the ankle; this bootie has draw strings like the inside of a snow boarders boot; pull and tighten, then Velcro to the inner; There is therfore a gap between the inner and the top of the outer.. just so happens this gap is the perfect size for putting ya leathers into; assuming ya leathers are tight. My suit is perfect however my separates are a little loose and sometimes get bunched up and i get the zip diggin in.. a quick readjustment and we're away.

    the outer has a zip and a ratchet, again like snow board boots; my last pair of alpinestars had Velcro to close the boot. Over time this Velcro now looks like one of the hair bare bunch and about as useful as .. well yeah

    The SMX + are a comfy boot, very very squeaky.. i oil the buggers more regular than the chain, stylie and give me loads of feel; i couldn't get my fat feet into other brands so cant comment. ps.., Sorry Robert, i got mine from the states at half the price of NZ retailers.

    Unfortunately i was a little quazi footed on the cbr and instead of grinding the slider of the boot I've ground the sole away which means my pinky can get a little cold sometimes.. but thats me not the boot.

    9 out of 10.. with 1 deducted for mad squeeks

    My boots have a plastic bit that rubs against the boot itself (see pic 1). I got a small piece of self adhesive velcro and stuck it to the underside of this plastic - the fluffy side of the velcro now rubs against my boot. It cost me nothing and it's stopped the squeaking. Simple

    Good thinking bat gurl! I've got that set of boots too and they're the ones the Velcro has disintegrated on and don't work anymore!

    I'll try that on my smx's cos thats the same piece that skweeeeeks ~}
