    Vacuum switch on the fuel tap failed, no overflows on the carbys so it was filling up with petrol each night. Shop is currently trying to find out out of Japan

    Sheesh - Never considered that there would be no overflows on carby - so the fuel really could go uphill. Never mind... drop me a line next time you up this way.. the beers are on me !

    Its still running fine, feels like the same power it had from the start is still there so I cant imagine its bent a rod. Was only locking on the first kick over on the starter so I cant imagine there would enough of a load on the rod to bend it

    It might pay to change out your oil too. It won't be working very well if it has been diluted with fuel.

    What a weird fault, never would have thought of that one.
