I have no idea what range your bike has...but I'll guarantee that if you go smooth on the throttle (NB I didn't say 'easy') it'll help.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Hmm, sounds like a nice warm down after the GC.

Make your petrol stops less than ten minutes and that will keep you average speed up.

I have added this ride to the calender and request participants to register as I have arranged Certificates for completing the ride and it would be good to have these pre-printed. (A note of thanks to Mr Kendog for his assistance here.)

There will also be some spot prizes.

Any Out-of-Towners wanting accomodation, contact me and we will see what we can do. The Welly Crew have proved to be very hospitable in the past.

did about 1700kms last weekend. 95km/h average.
400km tank range and eftpos at pump helps.

so who are you talking about then

If we left out the fag breaks I reckon we could up the speed by at least 10km/hr without riding any faster

Perhaps you should all pre-roll to save time.
I know and I can just keep going past every stop and let you catch me up and overtake me before the next one

That is where the gps comes in handy. I have already worked out that if we drop all the stops bar the fuel stops we can actually drop the moving speed by 20km/hr and still do the ride 20km/hr faster.

That is what this weekend ride is all about which everyone is borking at. Just a nonstop criuse at <130km/hr. No racing. No 200km/hr stretches. Just staying on the bike and cruising throughout the day. Already agreed with Meanie to be cruising at 120km/hr and will be keeping an eye on the GPS while stopped to ensure an average speed of over 80km/hr. The last rides average was 61km/hr.

There are offers from Welly Crew to accomodate visitors. At this stage maybe 8 - 10, so why not make a weekend of it.
