    Eeeeeexcellent...I think...

Anyway, despite my hopefully construtive grumbles, I had an awesome time and got in loads of really good racing and always managed to find out what race was coming up next. I take my hat off to anyone who can organise a street race meeting, it must be a massive task, and you guys do it bloody well!

hey guys, all comments gratefully recieved, both negative and positive. This year we had a major problem with Helpers on the day. This lead to a bit of kaos between 8 and 9.30pm. A few things were missed at riders breifing. Just Prior to riders briefing we had the fire brigade hosing diesel from the roundabout due to a fuel tank rupture. we were already an hour late starting so i guess we can excuse poor dave for having a little bit on his mind. The exit/entry was sorted asap.

we talked at debrief about the things you mentioned.

NO grid call ups, riders couldnt here PA. - With the increase in generator use within the pit area, we need to look at our PA system for sure.

Race order changed - we have no idea why this changed. i remember our race secretary writing it up on the white board. it rained and was washed off. I think somebody attempted to rewrite it but somehow messed it up? It was ok one minute then different the next. i realy cant explain it???

Yank/canadian guy?- i didnt meet him as i was helping build the dirt section but he let us down race morning as he was going to do screuteneering for the late arrivals on the day. He was aparentaly given a bit of a wind up on the saturday for being heavy handed etc and may have walked.

    cheers, steve

All these issues are minor, ya never going to please everyone and there will always be hickups like the diesel spilage (who would have ever thought that would happen? it was delt with very well)

If it all goes aswell next year Id be stoked

Too right! Considering you had to cope with a diesel spill, yet still got through the entire programme even when there was an oil spill that had to be cleaned up as well, I reckon you did an awesome job.

I saw the diesel spill happen. Did it even make it onto the track? I thought it was just off the track.

    Enjoyable day out

Well the cheerleaders had fun!!! We were quite rapped with the late start cause we only just made it over in time...that'll teach us for riding 250 cruisers and leaving at 7am...should've left CHCH at 4am!!!

Anyway, it was a great ride over and fun to watch!!!

A shame one of our bikes died just before Arthurs on the way back...still not going!!! A bit thanks to the couple who picked him up and let him stay with them in Arthurs the night and gave him and his bike a lift ride back the next day... Who says all the friendly folk have disappeared...

We've already booked in for the ride over next year...never know, we might even have bigger bikes by then and can do a bigger trip!

Well done all the racers! Thanks for a great day!

    Hey Steve
Congrats on getting through all the classes in the time allocated. I was back down at the track at 6.30pm & there were still many volunteers running around busy as, cleaning up. A practice order & race order taped to the inside window of the caravan with basic info such as quantity of laps & approximate start time + where the lunch break fits in maybe would suffice ?
I was parked beside the whitebait fritter guys for the day & I have to say I went away a lot heavier that day than I started...........

    Go the SV's !
