Hmmm yeah I'm waiting for a spare Sat or Sun to spend some time with someone who can help me take the pads off etc to give them a light sand. Hard though with heaps of assignments at the mo, I'll prob wait till study break and just spend some time then .

Dood thats what I tought, grit in the pads. I've driven on gravel heaps and bits do weasel their way in there. Takes no time at all, slip the pads out and in again. PM if your in this area and want to drop by, I'm pretty much in all the time atm.

I've got the same problem on my xj 750. How difficult is it to get the brake pads off? I've ridden over gravel, grit and all sorts so probably in need of a clean.

Apparently only takes like 10mins to remove clean and put brake pads back. I'm getting some help doing it this week sometime so I'll let you know how it goes!
