The BLACK record is the actual recorded data from Wellywood.
The RED record is how NASA report it for the purpose of Global Warming Data.

David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
I'm surprised NASA has time to fabricate statistics in between plotting hits against romantic rivals.
"No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does."
Come on now. Give NASA credit where it is due. NASA have lost Wellington so they were forced to invent data. This from the same website:
Today I invite CA readers to solve another mystery: help NASA locate the lost city of Wellington NZ. Here is a plot showing NASA dset=1 and adjusted data for Wellington NZ. As you see the data has not been updated since 1988! So let’s help NASA find the lost city and its mysterious temperature records. Again there are tantalizing clues that the records exist. If one googles “wellington NZ temperature”, one obtains todays temperature for a city that purports to be Wellington NZ. Perhaps NASA can see where these signals are emanating from and locate the mysterious “lost records” of Wellington NZ.
Even though the city appears to be lost, Hansen has nonetheless managed to adjust the data. If one looks at the raw data, there doesn’t appear to be any trend. But after Hansen has adjusted the data, there is a strong Waldo trend from 1940 to 1988 when the city appears to have been destroyed - perhaps by an invasion of Scythians.
Time to ride
When there's an iceberg floating around in Auckland harbour, perhaps then I might pay this "Global Warning" crap some attention. Until then, I'm gonna kill more than I can eat.
Al Gore didnt invent the internet, but he did make up global warming![]()
You want to know what's REALLY contributing to the "Global Warming" Averages?
Check out this website Surface Stations. This scientist dude has made observations of 33% of America's weather testing stations. His findings point to the fact that since the 1940's there has been a push for more weather stations, most built in commercial areas (And as you can imagine, tarseal roads and air conditioner vents give off a fair bit of heat).
Tahoe City weather station #?
That white box is the WEATHER STATION!
The Tennis Court and Trash Burner were installed in the early 80's.
And the data from this station shows... My GOD, the EARTH IS WARMING!
It all counts towards the state average, then the national average, then the global average...
Check out more retarded weather stations at Surface Stations.
As you can see, it's not such a cut and dry issue. Sure, the ice caps are melting, but we've just come out of an ice age 5,000 years ago - of course shit is gona change. So, if you want to set up a carbon trading scheme so multi-nationals can trade tax free "credits" then that's up to you, me, I don't care for it much.
Wear QUASiMOTO !
Yes lots of the climate change data is rubbish... but so is the mentality of our leaders :

Climate Change Minister David Parker said the target was for New Zealand to be one of the first countries – "if not the first" – to widely deploy electric vehicles. "Battery-powered cars are charging ahead. With our low-cost renewable electricity, they will make good economic and environmental sense for New Zealand."
And.. same web site, same day...
Why will petrol and electricity prices rise?
Two of the big emitting industries are transport and energy. Fuel companies will be hit in 2009 and will pass their costs on to motorists – expected to be about 4c a litre for petrol. Electricity generators will be phased in a year later and will also pass their costs on to consumers. For the average household, it will be about $7 a month.
The electricity I use and the fuel I use, pay exactly the same tax on carbon emissions.
So my electricity ALREADY produces the same carbon emissions as 175 litres of fuel.
That will take my Peugeot 306D which uses 5 litres of fuel per 100 km, about 3500km.
So is my domestic electricity really that green ? Maybe I'm better off driving the car on oil than oil converted to electricity ?
