    A quick check. Straight after it dies, check for spark while cranking it over. Either remove a plug cap, or connect a timing light to the HT lead. This should at least eliminate a dodgey Ign fault.

    take tri boys advice before mine,i dont know f.a about beemers espeically the ignition side off things

    might be worth checking the carbs to see if they are that type of carb that has diaphrams. They can get damaged and cause problems starting or will idle but refuse to work under any load more than that. Look for signs of tearing or brittleness.

    No spark from ignition unit - loose @#$% connection. Jiggled it and presto she started! Thanks all!
