what would the best split be for the SS and the gp125...still just till the hair pin or sooner????

and as none of the SS race will fall off ( setting examples to all other classes).. we should be able to have 3 X 10 lap races
First corner should be plenty. Still waiting for feedback from time-keeping guy about race lengths. I'm mixed about 2 or 3 races. I enjoy the longer races giving me time to settle into a rhythm, but it also gives me more time to fall further down the placings. Race starts are starting to be fun too so it might be nice to get an extra one of those. Less races equals less changeover time though and might leave time for bonus races. Oh dear me.

As far as playing with bike setup, more short races is better 'cos you can try more changes...but whatever, it'll be a good day whichever way it happens

I guess you'd also have to consider that the warm down laps at Taupo will be longer than Manfeild? As there's no early exit point (at least I don't think so) and you'd have to wait until the last guy has taken 2 minutes or more to get back to the pits...so maybe less races but longer might be the right idea.

Now that's thinking. Best you leave a brain like that in the pits mate, it's bound to slow you down on the track.

I recon one day VMCC should try a MotoGP style weekend.

Practice and qualifying on sat, and ONE yes ONE 55min race on sunday.

Why? For me I feel that I spend more time warming my bike up in the pits than I do on the track. Almost every race I have done I feel that Im only just getting into my groove when the checkered flag comes out.

a long race also sorts the men from the boys.

ah, now toast is a thinking man..... there's no quick exit from taupo.... and i take 2 mins to lap the A1GP there.... so got lots of time to equate for with warm up lap and finish lap, thats an extra 5mins right there....

i'm hoping for only 2 races... but thats me.... only cos then i dont loose as many points
lol.. like to see how many VMCC racers are fit enough to cope with GP length races hehe...
i could have raced more after out "enduro's" last round... i loved those!

Yeah I would prefer two longer races as gives me a bit more time to get in to the flow of things although on the other hand I need to improve my starts as well.

Definitely enjoyed last month but not fit enough for these "longer" races.

Im an advocate for a handicap race so then (as a very handicapped person) i can win a race.
Jimmy wants a short 50 metre race , Nicki wants to go for longer if the points are halved for each race, Dnut wants to last longer, Toast is far to clever to be racing a bike, Glen wants to go forever with fuel stops, and Clive wants us all to take our brains out before we get to the dummy grid.

Sheeesh this is going to be a fun weekend i recon.

PS; As its my last race ever i want to let you all know i drink JIM BEAM so feel free to shout me so im not so sad.
    Cheers Paul.
