It would be great to see even more people get given the opportunity he has had to get places with racing. There is some serious talent out there that is just waiting to get snapped up and used for the best
Im glad you mentioned that, have people been following the progress of Sam Love on his pro twins spec'd SV650? He has been testing ( sorry that is a dirty word ) racing in preparation for his Pro Twins campaign and his progress has been so rapid that he woke up ''codgyoldracer'' in a couple of the races on the weekend.

His bike presentation is excellent, this kid is reserved, devoid of brazen ego, very polite and a potential sponsors dream ( in spite of being a ginga! ) He listens and asks questions and is clearly motivated.

Sponsorship is not a given right but this kid is deserving and appreciative of help.

Hey! i am of Dutch perants, and not always the most eloquient of linguists (not much good at spelling either) Seems we are both in some way trying to help others and that can only be good for the sport. When you get as much stick as I have had and seen over the years you tend to get a shorter fuse! Would be happy to have a yarn, pm me who you actually are?
Cowpoo would be as bad as 'wanker" said in the wrong context.
Nownow Marty, Cowpoos is actually not a bad guy and this has got out of hand. Even though he thinks my jokes are bad. We make fun of ''dutchies'' but at least you guys are working immigrants. I will introduce you two over a beer ( Heineken ) Agreed?

I am quite sure Craig and Sam are more than happy to forego points. I think Dave though may be reluctant to forego the substanial prizemoney purse funding him almost wholly into a MotoGp derived 2D data acquisition and telemetry system.............................

Hmm...who is this 'cowpoos' fellow? Think he sounds like a tosser, but a [free] beer from you might convince me otherwise.

Actually might take more than one.

Plenty of business men attract business by buying people beer, isnt a better prerogative the quality of their work / product?

I will never subscribe to beer or illegal mind and mood altering substances getting in the way of work. I have seen too much shonky work and stupid costly oversights committed by people under the influence of especially substances that are inhaled, that is VERY bad when a riders safety ( and those around him / her ) is at risk.

Point of fact Cowpoos is a fine enough fellow, if a little portly.

Judging by the number of posts within a very short timeframe Maarty sure unleashed a torrent from a very large dyke!

He's not a short ginga is he?
I mean could NZ motorcycle racing handle another?

If he and Shaun shook hands would there be an implosion?

Sorry, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

what a bunch of winging homos you people are the stuff sam had on his R1 is fine to use a club level and even on the friday of the nationals as this is not an official day of the meeting?
It was in fact a test day and nothing more for myselfe and sam and that is what club meetings are for the fact that it is a bigger event than the nationals dosent mean shit it just means the vic club are doing a great job and all you pussies are to chicken to come do the nationals and learn how to ride fast enough to keep up.
I see all this moaning about the richest guy wins and all this crap I have been racing since 1994 and done it on the bones of my ass untill the past 4-5 years but I have spent enough of my own money to buy a couple of houses in the first 10years simply because I love and I had a some bloddy good results on bikes that were nothing but shit you get there because you will not give up trying and you have talent or you learn the craft over a period of time this bullshit about its the rich guys that wins is usually the people with no talent complaining because they cant keep up.
If it was such a big drama that sam had this gear on his bike and I was so slow that I seemed to be getting in the way why not talk to the riders concernd or the people running the meeting insted of crying behind you fake names on the internet.
Sams the most talented racer to come through our sport since the crafars, slights etc and all you homos can do is bag him for trying to get up to speed to compete on a superbike for the very first time at 19 years of age he had never fired that bike in anger before friday afternoon so all you legends should have been kicking his ass if you are half as good as you say you are.
Now I suggest you all spend less time in front of your computers and try meeting someone of the opposite sex and go get a life if things like club day racing is that upsetting for you all I cant for the life of me think how you survive in the reall world.
    Cheers

Welcome Craig and glad to see someone can spell your name right.

Me I was never a big time road racer and don't hide behind computer names and geez I date back to when your old man was the man on the old Yamaha MXers circa 1970.

Have enjoyed every bit of entertainment your family has put on - road or dirt.
