Sounds good. What time should I bring my bike around?
I feel guilty for ringing out the RF for so long yesterday. Gonna give her a an oil change and a good scrubbin. Brakes are squealing again too - I put soft pads in to preserve the rotors and they're good around town but shit when you push the bike.
lol im pretty sure i sent out an email like 2 weeks ago 2 the club members letting em know about the ride. Its a pity coz basically since the club has started its the same bunch of people showing up for the rides. I really want to get a uni biker "community" thing going, and this is visible from the way friendships have grown between the fullas who have come on rides.
Im not going to be missing out on rides (well after exams anyways), so its not really much of a loss for me but if only we had more uni people showing up on the rides.....
WHAT A FUCKING AWESOME DAY!!! Me and macstar ripped up those roads!! Shit if i didnt have to get back to work i wudda gone back over those roads a few more times!!! Isaac tried to keep up but, due to his old age, ended up hurtin his injured back in the process. also very nearly ran himself off the road trying to get away from mevery entertaining
And some of those guys on bigger bikes were being a bit......lenient with their cornering but heavy on the straights which was annoying (especially that guy on the cruiser who cornered like a nana and then hooned it out of the corners which meant he was a bloody pain in da ass).
Definately have to do that ride again before i head off to India!!

Looks like you had mean fun.
Just went over the Wild West Honda to pick up a few bits and pieces, and Craig mentioned he kept up real well his big twin. Big turn up apparently, 27 riders.
Won't be able to hit Taupo this weekend but I am there for the pink ribbon cruise.
My four week dry spell finishes this week.![]()
Do the SMC club members know about our club forum on KB? That's by far the best way to keep up to date on rides etc.
I admit it, by the 5th or 6th hour I was getting pretty stiff and fatigued. After that close encounter with the side of the road and an extra heavy slam to the back I decided to ease off... By that time though I had had more than my fill of riding thrills but.
And hey, for the record, you were only able to scrutinise my riding so well cause you were behind me for most of the trip!
I wonder what effect a 3 month break from riding will have on you when you go to India next month?![]()
yea we tell em bout the forum in EVERY email, and even include a link to this thread in EVERY email just to save em the trouble!!!
still cudnt believe you veered off man!! that was completely out of the blue!!!
lol many a right hand lane passing while flippin the bird was done yesterday
bet the fullas who we rode with back to auckland thot we were retarded coz we kept hooning it on the straights for no apparent reason
prolly slow me down a bit coz 2 months in india = at least 10 extra kgs on nishif im coming back with a spare tyre round my hips, ill make sure its a 190

Sorry I didnae make it fullas! Would've been an awsome day, but I had domestic chores to do.
On the bright side, I did get to pick up the big VTR yesterday...lostsa stylistic changes needed to my riding (needs much more input than a wee bike!!!), but oh, the fun scaring children and small creatures with those yoshisWas opening and closing the throttle just to hear the sound on the overrun.
Shame it's gotta go into storage until after exams now
Catch you all soon.

I forgot to comment on the above before. Good on ya for bringing this up Nish. Increasingly, some of my best (and varied) mates are bikers. I've only known the SMC crew for a couple of months but already get on with you guys better than my fellow postgrad class mates that I've known for 18months.
There's something about getting with a bunch of mates and talking, breathing and of course, riding bikes. Unlike most clubs, classes, workplaces and bunches of people in general, there's virtually no bitching or politics between members.
Anyway, glad to have met you guys and to be an unofficial and non-paying member of the Auckland Uni SMC. Looking forward to the next ride & Friday avo drinks.
Hey man! When did you sneak that edit in? What is this? Pick on Isaac day? Between you and Nish, the KB community must think I'm a geriatric old fool on a moped...
You only won the drag races cause I didn't want to stretch my chain and eat teeth from dropping the clutch - you shaft driven show off! Besides, if you removed that bucket-sized pretruding search light (excuse for a headlight) on the front of the Guzzi, the RF would have won...!
Oh thanks for reminding me mate, so ill grab dat money n your details off ya at da friday meet up this week
isaac, mate, we didnt say it, you did![]()
jokes man you're awesom n its a pity that your stupid boy racer phase has left its mark on ya....just glad to see you've wisened up![]()
