    running rough and not idling

I thought taking the bike for decent run today might sort out the idling issues but it hasn't helped at all. Stop at an intersection and she stall. Also try to ride around town at 50km/h was very hard, the bike was jerky as hell and was missing all over the show with a slight pop every now and then.

Now the airbox hasn't been touched but I have fitted a set of cored cans.

Now will the cans lean it out enough to affect the overall running of the bike?

I can't remove the plugs becuase I don't have the right sized socked but looking down the exhaust it is very black in there indicating a slighty rich enviroment.

Also I haven't got the gear to sync the carbs but will have to sort that real soon.

So does anyone have any ideas as to why my bike is running like @rse??

    Hi there manwithav8,

Mine had similar problems, without the stall and blackened pipes
I know they are fussy on plugs - always a good place to look.

I got a 20K service done last week - way different bike no popping/ backfire thru the airbox or stutter on deceleration - all shims had to be adjusted.
    although not cheap

Put cored cans on a awhile back - it made no difference to the running nor does it now. If its a fueler the ecu should handle that okay according to the experts

Might look black, but stick your finger in there and see if it really is sooty.

Normally a naf plug will also effect high end revs too, that was fine??

    thanks for the leads guys

all sorted now.... Carbs needed a clean out of old fuel, the airbox wasn't fixed to the carbs proprely and earth straps loose....Rides all good now and even idles.
Reffited the cored cans once I got the bike home and it has made no difference... So, to hear that true ducati sound I am leaving them on ....

Now this weather just needs to clear up
