Upgrading from my VT250 spada to a faster bike, any suggestions ?

Ive been riding my Honda VT250 Spada since january, road it till about july and then got disqualified for 8month as i got clocked at 155khm after chasing a 1000cc bike down a straigt strech of road as i pulled out of an intersection, and i neva noticed the police car chasing him so i made his day any way and lost my license , so I get my license back in march but im thinking of selling this bike and going to a faster 250cc motorbike as I havnt got my full yet, only my restriced so do ne of you fellas have ne suggestions wots a good fast bike under 5k ? somthing with fairings

IMHO I think it would be worth holding off and waiting until you get your full and get something bigger then, (better value for money). But if you really want a faster 250, the GSXR250 and the CBR250rr seem to be the way to go.
