Sat 6th Oct - Another option from Naki ride

HI guys & gals

Since the naki ride is gonna be a bit pacey here is another optional ride where we will stop & wait, no one will get lost, still a good distance though

route roughly from palmerston to feilding to marton (to pick up english) to wanganui to raetihi to ohakune (lunch) to waiouru to taihape to vinegar hill to Ashhurst & join the BBQ at meanies place while we wait for them to get back from the naki ??

there may be slight deviations off the beaten track been consulting a map or two but thats the general route.

any ideas thoughts or interest .. ??

what time you think you will make oakune. I am thinking by the time we go up to waitara and come back to wangamomona and you guys have a few coffee stops we will probably hit oakune/nat park about the same time. Although we were planning on coming back via mangawekas rather than vinegar hill but you could still shout us lunch in oakune

prob about lunchtime LOL ... hmm depends on how many come, leaving time if we take back roads gas up wangas then straight through to kune so prob be there about 11.30 - 12

and you can pay for your own lunch .. hmm been checking out a few roads & can be a few deviations I have never travelled but i know you have ..
