So I work on a boat in Wellington, and at the moment it's blowing about 100kph, (last big gust to 116kph).
I felt a need to drain the old bladder, and chose the toilet that's usually safer in rough weather, on the upwind side of the boat.
I filled a fair bowl of urine, I reached for the flush, then BOOM we hit a big wave and it caused the air-pressure between the hulls of the catamaran to surge, which caused the toilet to explosively vent its holding tank upwards. To where I was. All over me. From head to toe.
But it could have been worse. I had just emptied the holding tank a few hours earlier, so it was pretty empty. Before that it had contained the excrement and piss of about 30 people, so I thank the Lords of Kobol for small mercies.
I have had a wash and put on new clothes, feeling better now.
So, how's your day going?
