but did you remember to set it in the first place

damn brilliant ride Jodi & I were waiting at Mobil then Garry H rolled up to say the others were still waiting at Linton .. 10 mins later cowboyz, Yod (both 2 up wit lisylu & Michelle rocked on up) then Lee & Karen & Sly rocked on up .. sat around & waited for Sarge but he had text saying he will catch up ..

so off we rocked pretty good ride to the lookout on the track if ya dunna count the heaps of cars ya had to try & pass, stopped at the lookout to regroup & sarge rocked on up, then lee & sly hmmm a mobile coffee van turned up and perfect a hot choccy was excellent

a easy cruise over the hill & haywards quick regroup before hitting the motorway, went to the riverside carpark to find a market going on so bailed to wild bean cafe for both fuel & food refreshments .. must say at this point the wind was pretty keen

will leave it for lissy lu to fill everyone in on the bike situation but after a hour or so at the bp back out to motorway over the hill again to the lookout & seen the wickedly built bike with the v8 in it .. awesome up close for sure (pics later)

then off to raumati to cafe it on the beachfront & back roads to other side of pram & flick back home

day pretty darn good certainy got warmer as the day rocked on .. the wind sure got stronger too but no rain & great company It was good to met some more faces & to see some old faces back out on the road again

    great day guys

To many beers? lol... Missed a good one Al... Still having problems with the clutch, have noticed the bleed nipple might be the culprit. Bought a spanner, screw driver and bottle of brake fluid and performed a quick bleed at each stop. The bleed screw feels like it is about to flog out the thread or break everytime it is tightened... Will check it out later...

    oh crap

yeah forgot about that.. Textile pants and hot exhaust don't mix lol...

All that aside, Kaz loved the ride, she had an absoulute blast. The bike went bloody well two up.

So at the end of the day, I have no clutch and stuffed pants. But nothing is unfixible. Will have it all sorted in no time ...

    lol

Sheep skins are for wusses lol....

Must admit, that was the longest continual ride I have done on the monster and my ass was pretty numb at times. Kaz said hers was fine.... Might need to spend more time sitting on the concrete to toughen the rump up lol

    lee

well I have done a few longish rides on Betsy & my ass was definately sore .. & with two long trips coming up in the next month, the longest one being the gissy ride over 1000 ks in two days I wanna make sure I can concentrate on the road rather than how farken sore my ass is

the sheepskin has made a huge difference .. I will be sticking with it for sure

    lol

I'm just taking the piss mate..Each to their own I say. As long as your comfy then do it. Do it now! lol..

Well, have spent an hour or so playing with the clutch, drain the complete system of all fluid and removed the bleed nipple and all banjo bolts. Had a good look at all the threads and they seem to be ok. The feeling of the bleed nipple flogging out or breaking was a myth. Looks more like the CHEAP REPCO spanner I bought in Lower Hutt has started to round off the hex..

It went back together and I flushed a good 500ml of brake fluid through and bled it all up.. Feels great. Will take Kaz for a squirt up to the windmills tomorrow as she hasn't been up there before and will test the clutch out..
